Kevo00's screenshots
Re: Kevo00's screenshots
There is snow on my map, just not in the bits I've built on yet. I'm going for more of a sort of Faller/Milka advert Romantic Alpine meadows feel!
Re: Kevo00's screenshots
Very. I'm in early days yet already quite a few locos available. There are also resturant cars and things like that. It's the only new GRF I've downloaded that comes with an extensive PDf file with loads of info about the set and history of the trains. Very very impressive work.

Re: Kevo00's screenshots
It also goes really well with some snowy mountain-related objects
Re: Kevo00's screenshots
I like your screenshots. Agree with the proposal SwissFan91. It will be interesting to see .

Re: Kevo00's screenshots
Development of the Alpenland railway system continues apace into the 1920s. After isolation in WW1 forced reliance on domestic coal, some electrification has taken place.

Within the next 5 years it is planned to electrify all major routes - this will improve the efficiency of freight services considerably.

Re: Kevo00's screenshots
Nice work!
I might suggest that the Grand Warsaw Hotel is given a proper 'top station' as opposed to the current 'base station'. I have just posted this which may help.

Some more updates...the early 1940s...the rest of Europe is embroiled by war and conflict, but things carry on as normal in Alpenland...where most of the railway system is now electrified, and bus services are starting to be expanded.

Re: Kevo00's screenshots
A strange thing has happened in this shot - the city of Basel, which was in a mountaintop cone, has grown - but as it has done so, it has spread out in straight lines 'over the tops'. So it is now one very long strand of corridor urbanisation spread over several valleys - realistic, but an unusual sight in OTTD!

Re: Kevo00's screenshots
It's normal whenever you have a hill, since openttd cannot build sideways then. Since Basel is a bit in hill-country, this happens.Kevo00 wrote:A strange thing has happened in this shot - the city of Basel, which was in a mountaintop cone, has grown - but as it has done so, it has spread out in straight lines 'over the tops'. Looks very nice though

A few shots from a game on the Northern England scenario, starting in 1860 with FIRS installed, allowing a semi-realistic local economy with Steel in South Yorkshire as well as textiles in Lancs and West Yorks.

Re: Kevo00's screenshots
I have been playing the old LinkGame Islands scenario that used to be packaged with TTD, with Iron Horse, FISH, the BAT tram set and Timberwolf's British vehicle set, and with FIRS enabled, among others. I used to like this scenario back in the day because you could build up a much bigger shipping fleet than in most TTD scenarios. Sort of LinkGame Islands extreme if you like.
