Done some work on the island of Marken:

- Redrawn the docks, so they don't stick out anymore.
- Redrawn some objects so they match the terrain of the cranes (the lighthouse and the tall lamppost)
- Drawn an object with the same rails as the cranes to close the gap to the docks

And a shot of Rotterdam Harbour with the new graphics.

I believe there are indeed graphics from SAC in there. :)

Yes, there are a lot of graphics from SAC in my game. I found them here on the forum and indeed coded them myself. I will not make my GRF's public because of copyright issues. I hope SAC will make that GRF soon. For the time being some more hommage to the beautiful graphics that have been posted in this forum:

Nice, shame you're the only one who benefits from your code work though. (Not to blame you or anything, but coders are rare, so I'd prefer to put their work to good use).

Unfortunate but understandable, and a good choice.

Unlikely.

True, but sadly I'm not a great graphics artist. I have drawn some small stuff, but I'm not able to create large stuff. So I have to rely on things other people created and that brings up copyright issues. And my codingskills are also limited, I am able to create 1 tile objects and 1 tile stationtiles (and replace graphics in OGFX1-base and OGFXE-extra), but I don't know how to combine them codewise to create multiple tile stations. So everything is built up from 1 tile buildingblocks, see example below:

Will do :D , can't wait for the new dutch train GRF, they will look so nice in my game 8) and I hope other people will be inspired to have a try at coding themselves. I must say, the fundamentals are not that difficult to figure out. I now work from a template that I change when I have new graphics and that works fine.

Neither am I, if I try to create large stuff I'm not adding much detail. So instead, I make small stuff to combine. That's the way I drew stuff for the Dutch Stationset; draw benches, trashbins, shelters, lights, 1-tile roofs, etc and paste them on an empty platform. The result is quite nicely.
So I have to rely on things other people created and that brings up copyright issues.
True, fortunately I see more and more people go with licenses like GPL. Unfortunately this doesn't include graphic masters like SAC.
And my codingskills are also limited, I am able to create 1 tile objects and 1 tile stationtiles (and replace graphics in OGFX1-base and OGFXE-extra), but I don't know how to combine them codewise to create multiple tile stations. I've heard stations are one of the hardest things to code. So if you've coded stations, I'd doubt you could say your coding skills are limited (though everyone's skills are limited in some way eventually).

I think there's plenty of stuff to code, if you're enjoying coding :P (In fact, I've been thinking about making a Dutch Stationset v2)

You do know the new Dutch Trainset is being compiled quite frequently and even though it's not complete yet, you can download and use it already? It's well playable, though you may miss out on some cargo wagons and unable to transport specific cargos. (Check my sig for the link to a link to a link).

Single stationtiles are not that difficult, the problem comes when you want to combine them. So for instance I would have no idea how to code a complete station like Hilversum in your set, that has a fixed predetermined size.

And to be honest, coding is boring. But the results make up for the work

Well I couldn't wait any longer, luckily I saved most of the images that were posted, sadly they are all deleted from this forum now.

It's great to see the ideas that you've come up with! The drive-thru petrol stationi is brilliant, and something I've wanted to do myself for the longest time. Since you have that done, you could easily modify that for a variety of covered buildings which road stops can be placed under: tippers for the grain elevators in ISR, loading docks that match various industrial buildings, weight scales, coal tipples and mineral loaders/unloaders for vehicles, toll booths, overhead gantry cranes for vehicles. Just a few off the top of my head.

Personally, I'd like to see the water-based airport become more developed. The planes need some small docks next to them and a gangway to land. Players could then construct buildings of their liking next to the docks.

EXCELLENT job on trimming down the FIRS dock to just one tile. It now fits in PERFECTLY!

You should consider releasing these as finished products.

Thnx!

I got the idea of hiding stuff from the modular locomotive sheds GRF, which hides the traindepot. I just elaborated from that, for example in the screenie of the IKEA I have hidden the roadvehicledepot under a tile of the large busdepot (there is a yellow bus coming out). There are some glitches during gameplay, but they don't annoy me.

Waterairport: Yep it needs more work, but I'm not really good at drawing myself, so I placed it in the hope that some artist picks it up. I have some idea's but they concern using other peoples graphics. So I think I will make something out of that, but not for public release. The GRF of the empty airport can be found here: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=57266

Dock: It's still 2 tiles ;-) I have only replaced the graphics. The empty green/grey tile is the ramp of the dock, the building next to it used to be the parkingspot part. I have coded a newobjecttile which has the same rails as the rollingcrane to close the gaps, see here:

I deliberately did not do that, Some of my harbours have another setup so it would look strange if there were rails:

Dock with yellow crane could have a rails, Dock with red crane would look strange with rails
