[OTTD] skummel's Random Screenshots

Well
I have played since my brother gave me the first Transport Tycoon on a burned disc and then later the Deluxe edition
Then not playing for some years I found out OpenTTD was existed , I thougt it was about 4.0 - 4.3 version
Now adays i played on Nightly r15285 or stable 0.6.3

Now I have being watchin other spetaculair shots of other games so now I want to share mine and inspirated of other I tell my
as a story too

Played with Nigthly r15285
Scenario is Carst European 2048 X 2048

grf use is :

New bridges v0.41
DB Set v0.82 XL
German tram set v0.4.2
NewStations v0.42
Planeset 1.5.3
BK Tunnel Set v0.3b
City Stations
Dutch station set (v0.2)
Industrial Stations Renewal v0.8.0
Modern Suburban Stations
Rural Stations
SAC's stolen trees
Total Town Replacement Set v3.02a
Streetlights

I'm tryin to learn more about using the grf files so it looks nice and someway realistic


First story

It all began in 1871 in Berlin (wiki sayes however it all began in area Alsace/Elsass) but for my game it begin in Berlin

The founding of German Reich Railway / Deutsche Reichsbahn headquater in centre of Berlin
(I have using year-cheats to get this date)


The start with a tramtrack outside there own doors (In real world Deutsche Bahn have there headquater on Potsdamer Platz 2)
And few months later the first train starts up , BR92 with 3 passenger wagons and 1 mail wagons , speed 49 km/h and awesome
500 hp going from Berlin to Magdeburg

The next to run a few years later is a BR74 but this time with 4 passenger wagons and 2 mail wagons line from Berlin North to Neubrandenburg

(Need to find af image host - please beware)

The company needs to expand so they start to transport coal, this is the year 1874

A BR75 with 5 coal wagons

Then is was spend my time to build up some network and forgot to make the shots
But will continue soon when i found a image host

Why do you need an image host? Just upload the screen shots using the forum's attachment facility.

The year is now "The Next Century" amasingly January 1900

The German Reich Railways celebrate the new century with a complete new Berlin Hauptbahnhof in a new design and new train entrance

The Engineering has being spend a lot of time to find out a good desing for a hub/crossing points so this is the first one little outside Schwerin between Berlin and Hamburg

You can slow down city growth in Advanced settings. You can also prevent towns from building roads (thus blocking their growth).

Its because the image is bigger than a certain size. The pictures you are hotlinking are too big for the forum's tables.

The year is now 1924 and Munchen/Munich has now been connected to the network

First you see a BR28 with passenger and mailwagons heading to the new Munchen Südbahnhof a shown on the next shot

Her you se the network overview
I do a mainline with 2 track each direction -- and the hubs/points are made so that I can convert them to Transrapid/Maglev later without rebuild them

Inner tracks are for passenger trafic and outer tracks are for grain, coal, livestock etc

Here you can see Stuttgart is now connected to the network

The year is now 1932 and I have get the most of the german city connected to the network - only a few are mising
and below the new BR01 with now 7 passenger of the new coachline wagons each space for 56 passenger and 3 mail wagons

They are attachments, BA. The last picture is only 789 by 507, well under the 800x600 limit.
