I like ^_^

Ps... why would Senningstone need an overbridge when it only has one platform :P

Pps! - I'm using your scenario in my screenshots as of today :D

@ beeb375: I was never expecting such growth. Besides, the train service was not a reliable well-known one back then. No big scale projects back then. It has since grown in use, over those 10 years. This is why. It somehow adds realism!!

@ JamieLei: I love the looks of it. I'm, honestly, upset to see that nobody realises the scenario is awesome. Throw in some guidance, though. I strive towards perfection. Want people to think it's the ultimate OpenTTD map. It lacks stuff, sure, so let me know what  Liking your pictures, loving the realistic-looking tickets and stuff

Reflecting old Branningwell, and old Senningstone, here are two screenshots of these two towns, complete with a picture of the new eastern hub of the network: Guntfingford!

Additionally, I will get working on a routemap to post here soon!

The biggest and most worked-on area of recent years. Built to handle huge amounts of traffic, this station is seeing a bit more trains than passengers can fill. It sometimes has 3-4 trains loading at once and no more can be shunted here for the time being.

Promised routemap. It doesn't look TOO good, but it's a quick Photoshop job and I had huge issues with getting the text anywhere near fine. You will have to live. If you want pictures of a specific area, ask me.

New routemap, new picture. I have kept on fine-tuning the Guntfingford area. Additionally, 4 coal trains operate this area, running coal from a mine west of Plinninghead Cross.

The last few years, a huge project has been undertaken. Finally, every single passenger wagon has been replaced by bigger modern passenger cars.

Colour Code for Routemap:
Black - Regular Passenger Service
Blue - Local Commuter Service
Gray - Freight Only Service

I'd love to see some pics of the commuter line if possible :) - reminds me of the Jazz service that used to operate in London, with 24 trains per hour on a single two-track line, all of them steam! - Them Victorians knew how to run a railway!

As requested, this is Senningstone in 1906. The commuter service is currently run by 3 "Electric Interurban", purchased brand new in 1903, as well as an old steamer from 1888. It fails to take care of all the passengers, constantly having 6000 passengers as downtown "Senningstone Central" but having empty stations out west. This is also the first electrified railway in the history of Senningstone Travel!

6 new screenshots.. First up, a lovely journey. An old steamer was replaced and the new temporary chairman Elin Parker decided to open up a Railway Museum in the outskirts of Senningstone. Seen below is this train's trip to there, heading through Guntfingford and Senningstone.

The train in question is a 2-6-0 Mogul, built 1889 in the Wood Burning model from 1869. It used to run between Wunningstone, Hardstone and Chundingworth. (See routemap for reference). It is now parked at the ST railway museum, which it has been since 1914.

1. One of the few major projects undertaken by new chairman Elin Parker (who happened to be the first woman in a powerful seat like this, and was considered the most influential woman in the world at this time) during her temporary stay (husband Harold Parker Jr. was called in to fight for USA in World War I) was to extend the northern sections of the mainline to Great Hendborough Bay, more commonly known as GHB. She decided to build the line with electrical wires to Winnington and made sure the company purchased two electrical locomotives: The Alco/GE Boxcab and the Baldwin Boxcab, one each. These run between Winnington and GHB.

2. Close to Great Hendborough Bay were two towns; Pledingtown and Fort Flendingtown. Construction has begun at Fort Flendingtown, but Pledingtown already has trains running to it. Seen here is the brand new 4-6-0 Ten Wheeler (Heavy 3 model, designed in 1908) which runs between Great Hendborough Bay and Senningstone via Gonnington and Winnington.

3. A routemap from 1920, reflecting the new extensions, including one to Hedborough. As can be seen, the coal trains have been taken away from service. The coal mine shut down after just a few years.

Would I be able to see Winnington Junction and the tracks going off in different directions? :)

It's actually much more boring than you might think. There's a bypass outside Winnington, but Winnington itself is a rather small town, so it's not a big complex set-up. I have built quite a lot since the last routemap and will perhaps get around to updating it tonight. Here's your requested view, though. To the far right, coming from GHB, is one of the two electric locomotives in our network. It runs between Great Hendborough Bay and Senningstone, the only area of the network with overhead wires.

I like - and there's probably not enough traffic for a grade separated junction :) - very rarely do I make them in passenger games

Why is that? With PBS, it flows perfectly well :) I rarely have queues, but I do need to revamp this place. The station to the left of that view has a few too many trains running to it. This causes queueing and trains sometimes turn around and go back, getting lost in the process

Do trains use that as a junction? Otherwise I'd make the line that heads out to the left dive under the line to the bottom using a tunnel.

Trains come from everywhere and go to anywhere, both west and east of Winnington are junctions. Some trains go past Winnington down to Goddington, some go past both, some go past none. It's thus properly used as a junction

I've revamped the area a bit, but have realised that this will not work. They can no longer go from Winnington west (which some trains do) or from down south to east of Winnington. I will have to fix it up a bit more soon!
