Hahaha, I had a feeling you were one of us! :)
Are Iranair going to get triples? It'll be a shame to see the ropey old 707s go! ;)

And yes, I was referring to the road traffic not the trains :)

A random screen shot from my game, compare it with a shot from a similar image in my screenshot thread from 50 years previously, things have changed! Enjoy!

Just two screenies from my recent game. Map and starting network courtesy of Raichase.

I managed to corrupt it into a company that has paid off its loan and is making about 400,000 pounds a year. I have very convoluted network designs, yet they always end up being modestly efficient.

Yay. I progressed to 1942 today (3 years!) and made some huge changes to accomodate better mainline traffic.

If this screenshottery keeps up, I'm going to make a screenshot thread for myself.

I have here 6 old screenshots from Brianetta's Standard server, 3 from a sub-tropical game, and 3 from a temperate one.

And here's the station at the start of the line. I went a bit overboard with the loops and the serpentines. I could've just built the tracks straight up the mountain like everyone else. :P

A competitor and I both serve this particular power station. His little trams are a far cry from my powerful steam engines, just like the sizes of our stations.

You may have had bigger trains, but my company was higher on ranking, and wealth later on after the diesel age came forth. :P

Not to mention, i only had like 1 or 2 tram engines. Rest were steamers, and EF1's.

Infact, your company disappereared after a few decades, if i remember correctly it was just when i started to shift to diesels, or a bit later.

This is not something I've built personally, but I'm playing a randomly-generated game and found what may be the world's smallest town.

Edit: Oh, and to add to the hilarity, this one-family town owns some oil wells, an oil refinery and a steel mill.

Here a few of my own screenshots:

1) Ever had a 100 year old train?

2) I removed some signals :D

3) My last steamer sits in a makeshift museum in the no longer used Heidelheim Yards

4) A general screenshot of the main city and it's suburbs.
Note the disused Airport Line (heading NE), which is now served by trams - and the Loop line which all trains now run anti-clockwise. Originally the line was double tracked with trains running in both directions. This modification was done to free a platform for the Monorail line.

EDIT: Picture 4 didn't upload.

In one of my old games, I've got numerous trains that are 174 years old. I dare not think about the ages of Rob's trains...

Sometimes you need to rip a junction & rebuild it from scratch. This one evolved gradually from the simple E-W line, then a restricted route T-junction to bring trains from the North over to the West. Adding more dual-track to the south really overcompllicated things.

after:

I try to avoid template designs from the Wiki but I don't normally cross twin-track either & couldn't think out a quick design.
