42 signals, + 1 hidden for the 90% on the right + 1 I suppose exist on the fifth hidden track of the station. I counted the double signals as one.

A lot of my networks can be quite complicated, but my junctions are often fairly simple. Not just two pieces of track joined together, but simple compared with some of these posted here! I'll upload my arctic and desert saved games to the saved game thread sometime.

A sample junction, plus nearby station. I had a number of junctions to choose from (some perhaps better), but this is what I chose.

I made a junction once for fun... but I made some stations on the 4 ends and had trains running over all tracks... it worked after some time :P

You can never have a good network without junctions and signals. And thats what makes it complex!!

Well, I think signs are indeed indispensable in a good netword...but I try to avoid junctions.. allthough they often look very cool.
I used to make 1 train a track networks (if that can be called a network) but luckily I convinced myself to drop that kind of building. Its not so efficent..

by the way... this is my post nr 100 !

You can't build like AI. You lose a lot of money compared to a network. You build less track and take less space.

Without junctions, very easy, trains don't get lost and deliver rapidly
With junctions, challenging, difficult, trains need complex orders, watch out for bottle-necks
I like making a mix of the 2
Well, back to work, lot's of it in the near future
