All kind of music that can be used as background music.
jabberwalkee_ wrote:Also, what format ar we after?
I think we decided to use .ogg in the game. Which format you use to let us pre-listen here on the forum doesn't matter.
jabberwalkee_ wrote:Will the music be released under the Open source licence becuase that would be pretty cool.....collaberative composition.
I have no idea.

Wow, I didn't know a lot of this was happening.

So far, the genres we have are ambient, atmospheric, acid jazz, Dixieland, post-funk, third-stream, post-rock electronica, impressionism, expressionism, industrial, fusion, murder, prog-experimentalism and Acker Bilk. You can select any of those genres to work from.

[00:10] Dave: Your mom.
[00:11] r: Say what you want about her, she's a c**t
[00:11] Dave: I take a similar dim view of my own mother.

[00:12] Dave: Sadly not.
[00:13] r: You know what that means then?
[00:13] r: That means I win.

Primeval Blue - almost certainly not the best band in the world.

Cool, If we are using an audio format (such as .ogg) it means we could all benefit from our collective synth ownership. Like the percussion in one of those demos was awesome, but i remember hearing a fairly ordinary piano in something else.......it means a bunch of people who each own one or two decent midi synths can sound like someone who owns a suite of awesome stuff.

I might be able to start helping again in a month or so. I'm just about to start my Music Technology degree, and hopefully (90% likely) I'll be buying over £2000 of equipment (a Virus TI (Desktop) from http://www.access-music.de and a UAD-1 (~60% likely) from http://www.uaudio.com) sometime before February too.

Disregard my earlier stuff in this thread. Let's just say that I've gained some expertise since I last posted :)

Yay! I'm doing Music Tech too! Er... as of next year, all being well... Good to have you back on the team though.

Topic locked, extremely premature topic (15112006).
