DB Set XL v0.81

Post by michael blunck »

Hi all,

The DB Set XL v0.81 is out now fixing a couple of bugs and introducing
the new feature of "early vehicle retirement" which helps to avoid
purchasing of engines in their end phase of rapid reliability decrease.

Have fun
Michael

All changes in V0.81 (Mar 15th, 2005)

* fixed bug with long-distance coaches not attaching to several
locomotives in alpha 46,
* fixed bug with BR111 not using mail vans when in S-Bahn livery,
* fixed bug allowing to add specific freight wagons to
passenger-only locomotives,
* fixed bug w. white/red IC coaches erroneously displayed as
red/white IC dining-cars with BR181 and BR111 after 1997,
* fixed bug w. container cars unable to carry all 32 random liveries,
* fixed bug w. tankers changing to modern livery in 1997 instead of
1980,
* restructuring of coach allocation: made IC and IR coaches
refittable for a broader number of engines.
* added "early vehicle retirement" for locomotives, see engines
table for availability years.

Are you running Wine? This is a very odd crash, it seems like the
Windows memory manager got confused. It was able to read the sprite
into memory, but now when trying to read it back it causes a protection
fault for some reason.

Yes, I'm running Wine 20041201 (the latest version 20050310 doesn't with
TTDPatch). I only get this error with alpha 47. If you need more
information, please let me know.

I suppose I'll have to try it on my Wine installation and see if I can
reproduce it. If I can't, you'd have to go in with the Wine debugger
and see what's happening in detail, where it stores the sprites and why
it can't read them back later.
