Factories Production

Post by Wlodziu »

The most frustrating thing for me is reducing production by factories (coal
mines, oil wells, etc.) while playing TTD.
Is there any chance to control it?
I hold transported % above 80 or 90 and still some of them suddenly reduce
production:(

Well, it is realistic, isn't it? Sometimes accidents happen, mismanagement
occurs, so it's only fair that factories aren't 100% reliable.

I agree it's a part of realism, but let's be honest, TTD isn't simulator!
It's a game to have really good fun, but this feature damage everything...

Can I turn it off? Maybe it could be a new switch in next TTD Patch version?

The best solution could be reward high % of transported goods (above 80)
by increasing production of the factory and punish low % of transported
(below 60)
by reducing production.
Ofcourse it shoud concerns only those factories which are using by players.

In some way it works now, but surprises happen quite often...

What do you think about it Josef??

Those aren´t "factories". Those are "primary industries". Factories are
"secondary industries". :^)

In fact, the feed rate of primary industries is set by random and its change
over time isn´t depending from transportation rates which only affect station
ratings, BTW.
Is there any chance to control it?
No.

Yeah ... Especially oil wells are set to decrease production when off-shore
deposits are beginning to appear.

tam tez powinny sie z czasem pojawiac Oil Rigs

sobie wielka infrastrukture a potem nagle spada Ci produkcja i dupa blada.
szczegolow, mozna by sie zabrac wkoncu za to.
odpowiada, stad moje pytania.
"stableindustry on" mnie nie satysfakcjonuje.

Komu mam zglosic propozycje nowego przelacznika w PATCHu?
Z gory dzieki za pomoc!
POZDRAWIAM

Well, some people like realism. I do. I tend to not use ttdpatch features
which 'spoil' the realism. I never use cheats either.
Besides, this element brings a random component into the game, which, IMHO,
is good. If everything is totally predictable, it damages the gameplay for
me. (Of course, SOME things should be predictable...)

Josef is away on holidays, so you should ask this again in two weeks time.

Komu mam zglosic propozycje nowego przelacznika w PATCHu?
