Re: Canadian Pacific Steam
There aren't any Canadian Pacific steamers that I know of.
There is a decent selection of North American steamers, ranging from 0-6-0 switchers to the UP's Big Boy. You can see pictures of them at Chicago Locomotive Works http://plastikman.pytalhost.com/. If you go to the Steam Locomotives website http://www.steamlocomotive.com/ and check each of the wheel type selections, you can see which of these engines were used by the CP.
As for getting the files, well, unfortunately, the Chicago Locomotive Works website sends you to AmiTrains to download the files, and it is currently temporarily unavailable.

Re: Canadian Pacific Steam
Yes, it appears the site is down for maintenance.
You won't find Canadian Pacific steam engines in those packs, but you'll find some Canadian National diesels.

Re: Canadian Pacific Steam
There are only a few CP steam locomotives but I'm pretty sure I got them from donating on AMI Trains.
My favourite of the 3 is the Hudson.

Re: Canadian Pacific Steam
see... I donated to AMI Trains and I didn't get them... Do you remember what file they were in?
Re: Canadian Pacific Steam
I don't remember. I can't seem to find the folder with the donationware in it either. When AMI Trains comes back up maybe I'll take a look and see if I can find them again.

Re: Canadian Pacific Steam
If it ever comes back
Re: Canadian Pacific Steam
Amitrains is back, at least sort of.
I found a download file I had previously overlooked: canadian_steam_v1.rar
It contains two 4-6-2 and 4-6-4 Canadian Pacific locomotives
You can also try steam_beta.zip. It contains the UP's Big Boy, several versions of the Challenger, a Mallet and a Mikado. While none are labeled for the CP, the CP did use the Mikado.
Hope this helps.

Re: Canadian Pacific Steam
Wait, they have a big boy download?
Re: Canadian Pacific Steam
Zakos:
The UP Big Boy is in three or four different download sets. Best place to get it right now is the steam_beta.zip at the "new" AmiTrains download site.

Odd, I've never found it. Bit taboo anyway as far as game graphics are concerned

Don't understand what you mean about "taboo."
It's a great looking engine, although it does resemble an HO model going around 18" curves in the game. But that's true of a lot of the game graphics, so I've grown accustomed to it.
According to steamlocomotives.com, it really was one of the most successful steam engines ever built; the game version echos that. If you like to play steam, anytime from the mid 1940s on, give it a try.
