About locomotion
This is my first day on this website. The reason I came on is because I have a question. I just recently installed the British Rail Set. There area lot of trains in it, and I was wondering how can I make it a default train set. Like the British set, North American, and Alpine Mountains. I will note that I am very new to modding Locomotion.

Re: About locomotion
The fastest and easiest way is to convert vehicles from the Microsoft Train Simulator to Locomotion. Instructions can be found on my website.
Another possibility is to build a vehicle with the program Blender, Sketchup or 3Dmax. However, that requires a lot of time and some practice.

Re: About locomotion
Well, I don't have Microsoft Train Simulator. Is there a faster way to add them to the Great Britain train set.

If you play an existing scenario, you're going to get the whatever vehicles the scenario designer included. You can edit that existing scenario to change the vehicles if you want to.
If you are creating a new scenario using the scenario editor, yes, you can make a default set of vehicles, buildings, etc that will always come up when you first enter the scenario creator. You have to manually create a new Region. To do this, you will need the Locotool and Savegameeditor. With some searching, they both should be available here at these forums, or you can try the Amitrains website.. Next, open up your objdata folder and scroll down. You should find the REGALP, REGUK and REGUS region files. Pick any one of them, and make a copy of it just in case. Now, open it up with locotool. That will create an xml file. Now here comes the tedious part. Run the savegameeditor; it also creates an xml file. Open up the xml file created by Savegameeditor. It is an index of every data file you have in your objdata folder. Copy the information from the savegameeditor xml file to the locotool xml file for the new region you are creating. When you are done, drop the new xml file on to the locotool program icon and it will compile a new region data file for you. Be sure you give the data file a new name, like REGME or something. Put this data file in your objdata folder, and start up Locomotion and then open up the scenario editor. It should be prepopulated with all of your favorite vehicles, buildings, stations and anything else you included in the new region data file.
This is easier than it sounds, once you've tried it. It is tedious, though.
