It's very nice. This will be a relief for Queenslanders, since there's only this and Noof's buses for Locomotion.

I might also add that these are actually narrow gauge. Although it would fit with the other Lomo stock better on standard gauge, all QR stock is narrow gauge. Unless they have anything running interstate on the dual gauge network... But maybe narrow and standard gauge versions are called for.

Yes. the models are made as narrow guage too so I enlarged them to 110%, then shortened them to 80%. Does the size look ok to you all? Thanks...

Actually, I have them made already cuz I made them before I realized they were narrow guage so I have a copy of them saved still. I'm also needing to know about how much power these have. noofnoof sent me a link to the wiki for this but it only says overhead wires under power. The model has 402hp in only one of the units, the middle car, but that just don't seem right. These have to have more power than that but I can't find any info on what the power is. If anyone would know please let me know. I have it at 1500 right now but don't know if that's good or not. Any help on this would be very helpful. Thanks...

Tattoo: I had same with the APT-E, a real small power thing, but then i noticed that there where "x number of engines" in one car and put them together.

Yes, I know but thanks. That still only makes it 1206hp. That just seems real low to me for it being a newer vehicle. And I can't find a place that has the hp anywhere. I have it at 1500 right now and noofnoof says to make a little higher so I went to 1850. If anyone can find the hp for this, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I was just thinking. Could it be that low because it's a narrow guage train? Are other narrow guage trains low hp also? Could that be why?

I really didn't think that would be why the power is so low, I just thought I'd ask.

They are released and in first post...

Thanks for asking because I didn't check. I've never played narrow guage and didn't realze that there are steep slopes with it. I just tried it and it gets stuck. hmm. Does narrow guage vehicles have different slope sprites than standard guage? I also took them off. I'll take out the narrow guage and repost just the standard guage train. Thanks IA. I'm gonna have to take apart a narrow guage vehicle to see what's different. I thought it was just the track-.dat.

I took out the narrow guage train and reposted just the standard guage train.

Nope, they got steeper angle, in the MSTS converter you can check it on. If it goes up to a steep angle it only shows the "normal" one, also, rackrail should be needed, otherwise it will e stuck. :P

at least these parts:

Code: Select all

<useobject desc="tracktype" class="17">TRACKNG </useobject>
<useobject desc="trackmod" class="16">TREXRACK</useobject>
you do need to do more, i did used to make some this way for busses, but i forgot what else i needed to do, as the VC doesnt make the code correct for them.

Btw why RIP in topictitle? Is it dead Jim? ;)

lol. the narrow guage is surely dead for now. VC did give me the TRACKNG but I would have to select RackRail for VC to add TREXRACK. So that's what the rackrail is for? I always wondered about that. Thanks. I'll mess with the NG train later. Will someone even use it with a standard train made of it?

Rackrail is used for the steep slopes, Well, if its a cool smallrail thing i could use them, but no-one seems to be intrested in making things for it, so its not popular. (Chicken + Egg) No chicken no egg, no egg no chicken.

Thanks for the info IA. I thought the standard and narrow guage were basically the same so I didn't test the ng train much. DOH! Now I know.

Or make a new track :P "AU track" wich has the same specifications as the normal track but without the steep slopes.
