[REQ] Sporting Grounds

Post by Vemon3D »

I was wondering if someone could waste 15 minutes on realistic rural sporting grounds?

It just need to be one (2x2 blocks) of soccer field without any seating stands, probably exactly like this http://us.123rf.com/400wm/123/149/anest ... 917762.jpg It would look great with maybe everyone's scenario projects if they are working on rural projects or small town projects.

I'm not forcing you guys to make it, but I expect that it probably easy to make. It would look great on my small town scenario project.

I don't mind if it is not soccer field but it would be good if there are some sporting grounds, like basketball, baseball or whatever but without seating grounds.

I did bit of a search here, nothing found. Zeak doesn't have it, but he does have tennis court but I don't want it. Loco Fan page? I'll check it soon but I assume that there won't be any there. .dat crawler mod website doesn't have it. Wow, a lot of major Locomotion mod websites doesn't have it.

Hmm, I should make my own.

I was wondering if there any measurement for 2 x 2 building? I'll make it on basic SketchUp.

I'm only concerned about the size. I was wondering what size for 2 x 2 in-game block, because I don't want to get it oversized or too small.
But on the software, it says it's 41m x 41m, but it does look right for 2 x 2 in-game block.

Any suggestions? It's my first time to make sport fields on 3D Software. I bet it's crap as usual. =]
I can remove the team bunkers and trees if required. But it would look more realistic if there are team bunkers and trees around the
soccer field. I was bored so I even added 'Community Notice' booth  Anyway, it would look great on small towns.

If its goes well and lots people download it, then I'll make small stadium specially designed for small cities.

Plastik, I would like to code them as 'not allowed to demolish in-game' like way the German mod gurus modded the Stadion (Stadium)
and they can't demolish in-game. Is it possible?

You don't ever read my first post of request? I said above:
I don't want to have the seating stands and yes, I have that mod and it's called Stadion (Stadium in German) and I also have two different stadiums mod. One from Chinese mod web and that one, Stadion from LocoFan Page.

EDIT: 100th post

He already assisted me how to make buildings for Locomotion months ago and I still remember how to do them.

But dear news, :( The Google Sketchup shut down without saving while playing Locomotion. Oh well ... wait, I hope there are autosave :P

EDIT: YES! There are autosave file of it. :D :D Anyway, back to bussiness. I'll continue to work with it with photoshop tomorrow as that I don't bother to work tonight. I bet it would be EASY to get in game, anyway. I'll code it as a house so towns and city would build them as a house and
there are soccer fields around the town.

Can it be coded like the church (and townsquare?) - in that the town only builds max. 1 of them. Am I correct with that statement, or totally insane? I haven't had a chance to play much for ages.

Hmm, maybe I can code them max. 3 or 4 or 5 soccer fields per city / town. The soccer field will be coded for United States and United Kingdom not Alpine, and the Soccer stadium (will be built after) with one seating stand will be for United States only.

I saw what you wrote before you editted Tatoo
You can make 3D models all you like Burrow3D/Vemonzilla but you lack apparently any understanding as to how locomotion handles vehicles/sprites/dat-coding.

 Brilliant idea! to log into the forums it should play a sound, some speech or something, then you have to type what it said.

I cancelled my Tube bridge project because you make tube bridge as well. I started working on my tube bridge weeks before you started. It's a bit disappointing but don't matter. Your so perfect so I cancelled and let your repution increase.

Well, your version of the tube bridge was constantly deemed impossible by expert locomotion modders but you didn't listen. You really need to understand how limited Locomotion is and what the boundaries are before you announce something.

Besides, just because someone else with better knowledge announces something that is even remotely similar, you should still go for it. Backing out shows that you are pretty much all talk.

you have to understand the xml of a bridge before you even start one. the are so many "bits" in a bridge you have to know what to build and how to build it.

if you build a bridge that complicated first, it wont be usable.

our advice falls on deaf ears.

I agree with Martin. I was even gonna help him with it and sent him files to help until he accused me of stealing his idea. Now he's on his own.

@noof, I just shortened it.
