Break into your local bus depot at night. With a tape measure.

There's a bus depot a few k up the road from me... but there's also a police station right next door, so that's my excuse :P

Or, next time you're walking past a bus at a bus stop (as I do a lot at Central and my local train station), just count how many paces long the bus is. If you knew how long your stride was...
You could also guess at the width... 5m maybe? I'm never good at guessing distances without a reference.
Noofnoof directed me to where a measurement was, so I know the basic outside; 5 meters in width, wow your lanes must be wider then two semi trucks next to each other :P

A lane is only 3 meters wide; and legal width is only 2.5 meters wide; if wider, then object must have an oversize label on the rear, and at times an escort.
Could you imagine the excuses for late buses; "Oh sorry sir, this bus has been canceled as we don't have an escort from the transport department" :wink:

It helps when you know an average tram in 2.65m, and of course a bus is a bit narrower.

well.. while noofnoof is screwing around with his craptastic bus. I went and made my own.

EDIT. a few more deails will help.

simple things like mirrors,
if it is a top smoker. put the stack there. (and some soot... busses are not clean..)
side vents on the AC if applicable.
put the door on the correct side of the bus.. (LMAO)

it feels like it is missing something...

it might be to long in lomo. thats an easy squish.err fix

:wink: Thats a bit unfair; compared to the other sketch models out there, his isn't that bad.

But yes; this is what I ended up with, im not going to finish it, as it's not high on my list of models to finish.

Nahh I was just kidding. I rendered his model to see what it was going to look like in game..

as you can see, it is a bus... almost.

Oh, and the black smoke comes out the rear bottom right of the bus (Or left, if you want the passengers to leave faster :mrgreen: )

that's the point of these buses, not enough drive-on-the-left buses!
no but seriously is one of my irks that all of your buses are for the wrong side of the road :P
though after spending 6 weeks in Germany I can tolerate right side driving, I can kinda switch...

first, Blender, why? if you make your own Sketchup model, why skin it the same as mine? why not for your westrans, or something else?

second, SUCCESS, by stealing plastiks XML coding no offset or any other changes needed to be made, the sprites were obviously made using the same code.

Well, up to you. You could release one bus by one. Or make all others then release it under the "Brisbane Bus Mod Pack" or something like that.
