Re: [WIP/REL] British Steam Locos

Post by DJC »

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and those who downloaded the new trains enjoyed them. Now my exams are done I can start churning out a few more. The plan is to do some Southern locos, including older stuff from the LB&SCR, SE&CR and LSWR. Then I think I will do some more Victorian/Edwardian locos from other regions to fill that big gap at the start of the game when all you've got to play with is the Stirling Single. Then probably some more LMS and LNER. Any suggestions/requests are very welcome, but I can only do things that someone has made a freeware MSTS model for and is willing to give their permission for me to release it.

In the meantime, here's the Merchant Navy I mentioned in another thread.

Looking Good as always!

I'd like to request the 'Super D' G2A if possible please, and maybe more private owner wagons, yours are far better than mine will ever be :D

Spam can looks excellent there DJC.
Some southern composites to go with that I presume?

Also, on the Super D front, when I have finished the Streamliner, I will hand-make one for you.
All it is is an eight wheeled 4F!

Thanks guys, I've got a rebuilt Merchant Navy lined up as well. A Super D is a definate possibility sometime in the future.

DJC, would you consider doing some Australian Steam Locomotives since some of the locos we have had are of british design, and would compliment the british and american steamers available

Hmmm, I wouldn't say a definate no, but its unlikely for now. British locomotives are my favourites, which I why I feel motivated to make these mods. Right now I'm not really interested in making anything from another country, even if it was built over here and exported.

If I can make another request, I'd quite like to see some of the talyllyn railway (narrow gauge) locos modelled, such as Edward Thomas, Sir Haydn, Douglas and Tom Rolt

cheers,

Cool, an SE&CR terrier!
And a Bullied Pacific rebuild.

Ah, you'r focusing on the southern area now, aren't you. In that case, one request.

A 4-4-0 schools class, lovely loco.
No no, wait. When I have finished my Stanier Streamliner, I will make one myself.
The closest loco to a schools in game is a V2. If I tweak the V2 sprite, I will be able to have a U-boat and a schools!

@taffypride There's a pannier tank included in the set already, it was one of the first locos I did. Not sure exactly which class of pannier tank it is though. I will update the front page of this topic soon with better information and screenshots to show whats been released so far.

@kingmush Nearly right, the little one is actaully a P Class ;) The terriers (Stepney) were built by the LB&SCR. A Schools class is a possibility, I will let you know if I make one.

3 new ones...a Q1 class, SE&CR O1 Class and a King Arthur class. I included the Merchant Navy in this shot as I'm thinking of brightening it up a bit so its a similar colour to the King Arthur.

Hey steam fans, I've got another update for you all. Sorry to keep teasing you with screenshots, but I've been able to get more work done on this after having had to take a break due to real life getting very busy. So hopefully you'll be able to play with these new ones in the not too distant future...

At the front, from left to right, we have a LB&SCR Rememberance Tank, a LSWR Adams Radial Tank, Gladstone and finally a Terrier (like Stepney). Behind them is a Lord Nelson Class and an N15X, which were actually rebuilds of the Rememberance Tanks.
