where to find containers & other non-train downloads
HI all. Where can I find a download for a container ship port, where there would be containers loaded in & out. Likewise, I'd also need container cars to transport them.
We saw containers & a container shipyard on a Youtube video of Locomotion, so it must be out there. Any suggestions?
Also, any suggestions on where to find other non-train items to download & add-on - like trucks, stations, and other kinds of signals, etc.
Thanks in advance,
Michael

Part of the Bauplatz set allows you to construct a container park when you use the angle element in the construction window..ie instead of laying track when you ask it to execute a zig zag it can create a segment containing multi stacked containersmmarvelstrain wrote:Well you tube has A LOT of stuff that never gets released the only ship ports I know of are non-moving and on the loco fan page.

Re: where to find containers & other non-train downloads
Thanks - I went there & found a mod-pack that has containers in one of it's sample pictures. It's all in German, but I managed to download a couple of files that may be the right ones (or may not be). THere's no apparent install process (ie. no .exe to run), and so I'm sure that I just need to do the right things with the .dat files I have now. Can you (or anyone) make a good suggestion on how to go about getting it plugged in?mmarvelstrain wrote:Well you tube has A LOT of stuff that never gets released the only ship ports I know of are non-moving and on the loco fan page.

I have downloaded files from http://www.locomotion-fanpage.net/forum ... =476&lim=0
The main file I'm interested in so far is UpdateBahnhöfe.zip, contains a number of .dat files but what do I do with them?
Apologies if this has been explained already on this site or somewhere else in English. If you know the page on the site in German I can run it through a web translator, but I can't go through every page there looking for it!

Re: where to find containers & other non-train downloads
copy them into the ObjData folder in your locomotion install folder, (default is C:/Program Files/Atari/Locomotion/ObjData)
May the force be with you.

Re: where to find containers & other non-train downloads
Sorry for bumping an old topic...
I know those containers where in the Bauplatz-Pack. I have used them before. But I haven't played Locomotion for a long time so I had to download everything again...
I have downloaded the Bauplatz-Pack part 1 to 5 from that German Locomotion site and saw a picture of those container-parts, so I assume that they are in the download. I unpacked everything and placed it part 1, 2, 3, 4 and in the end the updates from part 5 in my Obj.data-map from locomotion.
The containers are nowhere to be found...So how can I find them and then build them ?
Thnxs in advance if anybody does now how this works !!!
Erik

That is the link to the info.
To use the containers you have to look for the S-Turn rail in your rail collection. That should place the container stacks.

The current successor to the Fanpage is http://www.wisim-welt.de/index.php/Boar ... ocomotion/ (it was wisim-community.net last I checked, but I was redirected here).
