Question to modders

How are you making these mods? Such as the no-breakdowns, how do you make them?

I'm interested in making a mod but have no idea how to start

Well, first get locotool. That'll allow you to convert the .dat files to more readible .xml and back.

Well first you get the locotools by patchman, then you drag a vehicle dat file from your Locomotion/ObjData folder to the locotool.exe.
You will get a folder and a xml file. Open the xml file with for example notepad and start edit away.
When you'r done drag the xml file to locotool.exe and you will get a new dat file, put this file in your ObjData folder. And there you have it.
And remember to backup any files you change.

Hey, I am an IT professional and I doesn't know, how you created it?! I wants to know, how do u create such a tool that can check out the .dat files?

i haven't looked at recent source, i only saw the 0.02 source and it wasn't commented :P
