Hello everyone!
Long time ago I have played this game, then had a long break with the disappointment that TTD was not compatible with XP or Vista. Recently I found out that there is this forum, Patch and other nice stuff, started to play again, BUT...
Yesterday I had dozen of crashes of TTDLOADW.OVL, producing error C0000005, each and every time it crashed as I had reached 01.01.1977, it is random map, I tried compatibility with 95, 98, Xp, doesn't matter, same on XP or Vista, it would crash as the finances report on 01.01.1977 appears - but the datum in 1977 should not be illegal.
Is there anyone who has the solution for this problem? Thank you in advance.
P.S. I have tried patches, tried with last 2.5.9... same again.

You wouldn't happen to have a crashlog in the TTD folder?

It may be useful - here is the save, and the cfg I play with. Patch 2.5.9 doesn't change anything.

From what I can gather, there appears to be an error in the saved game, in particular a bad town pointer on a station.
Not really sure if its fixable, at the moment.

You are right. I tried to open an earlier save and passed through without any problems. Thank you.
