TTD deals

Post by Nawdic »

Even though im not a newbie at this as i am part of the locomotion clan, But, i have played ttd in the past and i wanted it on my new computer. Unfortunately, it is a dos disk and my computer (even though it has a version of dos) dosent want it to run, so basically, i keed to know if there is any deals for a new ttd disk, preferably the pc variant. Or if it is only dos then i will be buggered.

Depending on what operating system you have on your new computer, TTD may not work at all (not even the windows versions). I think, but I might be incorrect here, that windows XP and windows vista don't work. If that's the case, download one of OpenTTD or TTDPatch.

I'd say the best idea would to be to download OTTD and rip the graphics files off your disc.

One thing I found was that although the game itself wouldn't work, I could get the installer to run. If you can install the game, point the OTTD installer at the TTD directory when it asks and there you go :)

All games that have to be run on the computer have a list of specs that have to be followed and one of them is the configuration of the computer including the hard disk space and the memory and the graphics card.So if it is not running at your end the n the configurations must not be matching.

Have you looked at the TTD system requirements? They are quite low, I assure you. I dare say if you computer is newer than 10 years old it meets the minimum system requirements. What usually is the problem is that newer versions of windows don't run old windows/dos programs very well.
