Ok, Alpha 4 is soon on it's way. When I edit the top post it's released :)

While waiting you can look at this screenshot of the new version.

Bug.

When saving either image (or looking at the map within the program), any bridges will be green, rather than blue, if they go over water. This is annoying as I would have to pixel them all out.

Under Win98 SE, the program refuses to work in at least two aspects: first, after changing to the root directory of a drive the directory/file list is not displayed, so one cannot go any further ;) . And second, trying to save an isometric image produces a 'Parameter not correct' error. :(

BobXP: That's how the game saves the data. But I can see it's a problem, will try to fix that.
WildString: I don't have a Win98 handy so can't test your problems myself, but I do have an idea what might cause the first problem, and the second problem might be caused the incredibly bad memory management of Win9x. The isometric view takes up 40 megabytes of memory and I'm not sure Win9x can cope with bitmaps that large.

Ok, I have a small "bugfix" version here, it's not a real release, but (hopefully) fixes the problem with saving an isometric view on Win9x, and makes bridges over water show up as water in the Heightmap view.
I've made the isometric map smaller (made the tiles smaller), which means it now "only" uses 15 MB of memory, which Win9x should be able to handle.

Excellent indeed! ;) But, another bug has appeared ;) , namely, after saving a plain or an isometric image, it becomes impossible to select another file from the list. Still, the program is very cool!

Ok, it's here: Alpha 5 is released! Includes four bugfixes and an interactive scrollable isometric view!
That isometric view is what's going to be the main focus for probably the rest of the programs lifetime! :D
