Searching is not all that's required. You also need to read and comprehend the search results.

Get the appropriate file for your OS. OpenTTD is Open-Source, so it's free. There's no Demo/Trial version.

BUT you can only run OpenTTD with an original copy of TTD to provide the graphical files. It's those files no one is allowed to link to (directly) as they are still the legal property of microprose or whoever bought it out.

Get the original TTD from here: http://www.owenrudge.net/download/download?t=1&id=129

Install it. Then simply run the OpenTTD instalelr and it'll automatically copy the files.
