No, neither the DOS version nor the Win95 version will run under Windows 2000 or XP. The changes required for Transport Tycoon Deluxe Win95 to run under Windows 2000/XP are probably minimal, but it's unlikely it will ever be updated unless the time and costs can be justified by potential sales and the willingness of the publisher to market an updated version.
I love their naivety. Surely they're aware about TTDP now?

Actually, TT and TTD was written in x86 assembler... right?

Hard to believe, that something like TT is written in assembler, but how you say on official site Chris Sawyer say it :).

So there is absolutly no possibility to use any line of code :).

You select the text and coppy it then you put <quote="name of source">paste text[/quote] and thats it.
replace the <>brakets with [ ] brakets.

Yes, but Chris Sawyer's commercial website is not about to openly advertise the reverse-engineering of his products, regardless of what Chris himself may know/think about TTDP...

May I ask how much time you spend on the TNT Engine already?

Why you want write patch? Say me what you want in the game and if it is possible I will include it :).

Little problem is, that there isn't only one version, but every mobile has its own. And some versions are very different.

I write TT engine two year ago, but I don't have licence. Now redboss have rights for original graphics and I start to rewrite whole engine. Old engine doesn't support a lot of features.

I spent six month on TNT Engine, but I have more interests, I don't work only on TT. And I attend university too.

I think it was a disgrace that CW didnt even support his fans by updating a patch for TTD to run on XP. Most other game developers have made patches for there games to run on XP. If it wasnt for the patchman and the other person who made the patch for TTD for XP then TTD would have been dead in the water a long time ago.

I suspect the actual number of 1995 games which have had an official patch released to allow them to run on Windows XP is somewhere around 0.

Indeed, i have a game, It was released shortly before Win XP, and it didnt work on XP, but they never released an XP Patch, some one had to correct Direct X error in the game to compensate, then released it as an unoffical patch. So even the newer games didnt patch :P

When were GTA, Wild Metal Country, and GTA2 released?

(Honest question. I don't know when they were released. I do know, however, that Rockstar has released them, free (as in beer), in an XP-compatible format. Granted, it's unsupported, but it's still pretty official.)
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

According to their respective Wikipedia articles, here are the release dates:
* GTA: Oct/Dec 1997 in Europe, and Feb/Jun '98 in North America
* Wild Metal Country: 1999
* GTA-London: March/April 1999
* GTA2: September/October 1999

So basically 2-5 years after TT (1994) and TTD (1995). 8)
