"Steel" Wagon as an engine

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear Pros;

I'm testing my latest scenario "Simply...South America". I tried to put a 'steel' wagon
behind a steamer, but instead, it became as another train! :(
I've got the latest version of The Patch/Alpha. Here also is my cfg. list.
with the US Renewal trains.

Please help me if possible. Thanks.

Always,
Jim Powers

Hmm, that's quite odd. Does the wagon actually go anywhere when you tell it to go? Because a) That would be quite funny and b) It would imply that the GRF seems to have got mixed up and given a wagon train properties.
See if any of the trains act as wagons. :)

You've probably got more than one trainset GRF active, Jim.

Sadly you can't really combine two full-replacment trainsets.

All politicians are bad, you just need to know which ones are the worst.

People "double-head" (i.e. use two) locomotives on trains which are paticularly long or heavy. It happens often in real life, too.

See this pic:

The train is going away from the camera.

Basicaly 2x engines = 2x power, and on rails power is everything. ;)

But the most important thing to remember is 2x the power != 2x the speed.
