TTDAlter translations [latest: 26/03/05, 4.3 block #1]

This topic is for the translation process of TTDAlter 4.3, superceding the old 4.2 thread.

I've attached block #1 of the TTDAlter 4.3 strings, likely the only block or one out of two. Could all translators please translate this as soon as possible and post strings back here, or e-mail them to me - thanks!

If you want to start a new translation afresh, download the english-4.3-complete.txt file. If a 4.2 translation already exists for your language, download english-4.3-block1.txt. Thank you!

The following translations still need doing for block 1 (translations in italics are complete):
  • American English (Lilman424)
  • Brazilian Portugese (gasp)
  • Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) (Neddy Lon)
  • Czech (J_J_J)
  • Dutch (Hyronymus)
  • Finnish (Vesa Piittinen)
  • German (Patchman)
  • Hungarian (Endre)
  • Italian (Thade)
  • Norwegian (dizcon/Zetor2003/kruz)
  • Polish (SHADOW-XIII)
  • Russian (WildStrings)
  • Slovak (c/o J_J_J)
  • Spanish (Argentina) (Andrex)
  • Swedish (Pierre Hansson)
If any of the translators are incorrect (it's been quite a while and ISTR there were some mistakes last year), could people please point this out and/or volunteer to translate other languages. Thanks very much, your support is really appreciated!

Czech Transalation done. But, I am not sure what really mean this - can you explain it for lama? :)

Code: Select all

LBL_CARGONOTE, "Note: payments that credit a company's balance are entered as NEGATIVE values. If you want cargo to actually cost a company to transport, enter a positive value."
Slovak translation file will be available as soon as possible :)

Another way to say that: "Additional money to company's balance are entered as NEGATIVE values."

Means: negative gives company money if it transports something, positive takes money.

Yes - you have to enter -2000 to create a positive profit (ie, £2000), while 2000 will make it negative (-£2000). Maybe I should have swapped this around, might still do that...

Here's the updated Italian block.
Note that I had to delete the company colour menu hotkeys because I ran out of letters... In Italian all words defining colours have almost the same letters...

Thanks, that won't matter too much, many of the other translations don't have them at all. ;)

Buh, I were one of the only ones to really bother to do the hotkeys? Yay!

I forgot to update the first post, that's all. :) There are actually a couple of new strings to translate, but I'm in town right now and don't have the file with me. I'll upload them tomorrow night.
