[Landscape + Map] Big Valley Bay

Post by Owen-Alexander »

Howdy Folks, I've playing around with map generators over the past week or so and wanted to share something I put together that I've been playing with so far.

The landscape is clean (straight out of the mapgen tool) of mods, towns and industries. Out of preference, it is set to the british region with grass as the olny terrain tile.

While I do have a complete scenario on my end (with mods, so can't post it), I welcome any changes to the landscape or map if you see a way to make it better.

I've attached the base map (the one used in mapgen), the landscape and a preview in locomotion itself. I used the HME terrain editor, so if you have that the height map included in the zip is more useful.

I'll post some screens later of the in progress scenario, detailing some of the changes I made from the base map to make to more of my liking.

Looks promising, maybe I'll give it a look later.

Thanks for the interest. I figured that some play ready shots might be in order.

This post is just to show the final look of the map. There are two iterations, Iteration one is from about a week ago with the landscape fairly unchanged and Iteration 2 is the map of what I am playing now with a section land lowered for an extra town and industry.

Both maps show about 10 in-game years of work.
