Wheat lake Map & Scenario

It is a very large lake with high hills around it. the map has some steep climbs to areas that almost flat. The unmodded version requires no mods at all, and anyone is free to play it the way they like. I made an path that is pretty much obvious where to build the track, including through the tunnel. The shoreline are rugged and pretty close to what a real lake shore should be, well a great lakes lake shore that is. This map is fictional and portrays nothing real in irl. :p

okay this scenario is simple move 3.5 million in grain in 40 years. engines, cabooses, wheat cars, and food boxcars were selected for this scenario. farms have been placed in certain areas to insure you can start to make some money right away.
Plastik's Boundaries have also been placed to discourage crossing directly across the lake.

what do you need for this scenario, well lets take a look:

1. Dekosoft UP, Provo Scenario and Mini Scenery Pack 1.0.5 (you need both)
2. Dekosoft BN Pack (Needs UP Pack)
3. Dekosoft BNSF Pack (Needs UP Pack)
4. North American Megapack 1.0.0
5. North American Megapack 1.0.0 to 1.0.2 Update
6. http://www.tt-forums.net/download/file.php?id=111858 that is the CLW US Patch Updater, you must run it before loading the scenario, because i use plastik new u-boats in it.
7. http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=32398 - alco pack
8. http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=44708 Boundary markers

if you have all these you will have no problem running the scenario.

It takes a special breed of gamer to watch hundreds of grain hoppers going around for 38 years.

Beautiful map, I finally get to see the Boundary markers in action.

Anyone know where I can get a fertilizer mod?

Prefer fertilizer mod with or without original graphics. I have 2 that are reworks of existing industries. 1 takes 3 chemical loads to produce 2 fertilizers and the other takes 1 of each of the following oil, corn, beans. (which are customized Sawyer graphics)

This is a kewl map altho I don't see how to win it. I only got 20% of the challenge at the end. I'm going to have to reconfigure things and try again. Thanks for the map BB. Did you make any others that I can play? I like maps with Plastikman's trains in em. There's just so many to choose from. It make the game a lot more fun for me. Thanks Plastik...

EDIT: I just found the load of BB maps. I'll be busy for while with these. Can't wait to play em...

Man, I played this three times now. Each a different way. Better layed out each time since I know the map now. I even doubled the incoming routes so they wouldn't get backed up as bad and I just don't see how this can be accomplished. I only went to 1992 this last time but still only 23% and I don't see it getting there in 7 years. If anyone was able to complete the goal of 3,300,000 dilivered, I surely would like to know how ya did it? I think it's too high of a goal. I like the map but I can't complete it for nothing. I added more farms and all the third time and still not enough. Please let me know how ya did it if ya did. Thanks...

I am at 10% at 1977 and I was thinking of making a track to deliver food to the town. Does anyone know if it is possible for that route to be profitable? My grain trains take about 110 days to go from the farm right next to the town to the elevators. If I understand correctly, any food delivered past 100 days is worth $0.

Although this scenario seems like a hell of a job, I was able to finish the goal...First time I did it under the normal circumstances, second time I used my own "food-mod" and my "Maximum production from industries-mod". Both can be found in my signature. Great scenario, even after all these years I missed it completely and never saw it before

BB's scenarios remain one of the best scenarios for Locomotion, even though he left the forums long ago... :(

I wish I had your luck, even getting though to the 1970's I was making virtually no money and that was on the basis of 30+ cars in the consist so i was offloading around 4000 tonnes per trip.
I even tried tunneling to shorten distances to no avail
I'll try again in the future as am playing a scenario of my own where you need to move 500,000 tonnes of coal and its not exactly wide open spaces, it is based on a lovely bay view setting using a modified Chesapeake Estuary map

After some wondering where my screenshots had disappeared too, I eventually found them down in the virtual store (god knows why 10 sticks files down there) so here are some of the views of my take on this map
