(POLL) Altoona

Post by rdrdrdrd »

I have been thinking of doing a Altoona area map, but since the curves are really short in locomotion would you guys still want it?

For little boys, three things reign as supreme attention-keepers: tanks, heavy construction equipment, and trains, we all know why where here.

I watched an Extreme Trains episode about that place. Large rail line owned by Norfolk Southern, High amounts of coal pass through the area. I even made a scenario based on that, but the only accurate thing about it was the H-Curve.

And apparently making a living also includes playing locomotion.

I think this would be a great addon for Locomotion. :D I also watched extreme trains and The Horseshoe Curve Route would be great. :D

here are some pics, the climb after the curve was improvised, it looks nothing like that in RL, but oh well, loco is just a game and has a lot of limits. and for anybody with knowledge of the area, there is a kind of eateregg in this map, for the railroad of course

only problem with this map is that all trains will take a while because no matter how many horsepower if they get more than two slopes they will go 5mph

two thing you could do

or a mix of both.
