Signalling help...!
Anyone still knows any signalling tutorial for locomotion?
I heard from this forum that recommends the following site but geocities is down.
http://www.geocities.com/benj_a_d/sigdesign.htm
Or anyone can recall tips regards on signalling? Because i am currently having problem understanding signal. The train will get messed up on switches on the tracks.

Re: Signalling help...!
thank noofnoof... for the site u found. I got one more question.
How does the train's behavior to choose between which path of the track/switches to take without using waypoint?
I encountered a train enter a track that has yet-to-build station or half-way done track.
Any comments.

Re: Signalling help...!
they seem to draw a straight line as the crow flies, and at a junction take the option that follows that most closely in the short term.
one example I solved without using way point looks as below:

Re: Signalling help...!
Plastikman knows more about this than... anyone, I suppose. I believe the reason was something along the lines of...
The train will only look a certain number of squares ahead for it's destination. If it (or a waypoint) is not in range, it will take whichever route will take it closer to it's destination (ie, it doesn't know which one (if any) is connected to a station, but it thinks one rout will be shorter)
Feel free to correct me anyone, I am quite often wrong when I've had way to little sleep
