extra downloads

i have see videos and pics all over the web of trains, bridges, trucks, and things that go over the railroad I don't have in my game. I have just the cd instaled no extra downloads or anything. Are there any extra downloads I can get of the web to get these things

Have a good look around here, there's many a download to be had. Various "stickied" topics will give you hints and tips, and some forum do's and don'ts. I would suggest reading the forum rules so you know what's expected from yourself.

Have fun finding new stuff.

I found some downloads on AMI Trains but all it was was trains and train cars. There wasn't the cool looking boats, huge trucks, new bridges, semaphore signals that go over the track, train yards or anything. JUST TRAINS!!! So where do I get all that other stuff? Any posts would be greatly helpful.

is signals, bridges, stations, trees, and new buildings.

there is a bunch of cool stuff here. Including boats, and a few cars.

As for yards, well that is a lot of painstaking work by hand during the game. No easy way for that.

howdy now i just installed this game and i went on ami trains and seen the BN train pack and i was wondering where i put the pack do i do it like open ttd and make a grf file?

You have to download the Union Pacific dk set and then you can download the BN set, you just have to select were to install it, download it and it should work find

its a exe file, it installs itself

If its not in a exe file, just select all the dats and move them to your object data folder

Ok i put them all in but when i played the game there was no new vechiles or freeways i put in a crack i found on the internet well not put it in i didnt know where too but there is none

not the classic n00b mistake of not making a new scenario and selecting them in that I hope?

make a new scenario, click the advanced button and then in the vehicles tab you have to select them.

And if you want any new vehicles (or change which are available) in an existing scenario, you can open up the scenario editor, 'open landscape', go up one level in the folders, and select which scenario you want to edit. You can then go back a few steps to vehicle selection and add whatever you want.You then need to create the scenario again (I recommend saving it with a different name, eg. xxxx-modded).

If I've rushed through that a bit quickly, I can slow it down a bit.

I recently downloaded us patch 1.76 but keeps coming up with error is there any way anyone can walk me through this it could really be a big help the only thing i really want is the custom trains pleese reply thank you!!??!?!?!?!?!!

Welcome to the finest forums in the world.
Just a couple of pointers before you get flamed by our greatest. (I'll join in where nessessary! Heck I even reported my own post yesterday!)
Check the date of the last post, if it's old (say, older than 2 or 3 months), and you haven't really got much to say, don't bump it.
Secondly, cut down on the excessive punctuation. A question mark or an exclaimation mark don't mean anymore if you have 25 of them in a row. It just peeves people to the bone...
Thirdly, as this is a forum based on transport games and not clairvoyancy, please explain your error. Saying "I have an error" is just about on par with saying, "I am human". Very general.
Last thing, before you post anything, Search! There is every chance someone has posted something on here related, we don't need 1500 topics on the one thing. Even if you don't find it on the first search page, look thru the rest of them, or change your keywords. If then you don't find anything, post it in the relevant topic or start your own (with a descriptive title, not just help or fix this.
