how do you get a truck to accept products?

i cant figure it out. i would like to know how you make trucks accept oil, food, etc. as i just go the game i don't know how. and but i am however a experienced user from rollercoaster tycoon and i sort of know how to work the game. there is just some of these little things i need to figure out. thanks in advance.

It seems that you maybe using the wrong trucks or placing your depo's in the wrong place.

For example to have a truck collect coal you need to place the depo within the capture range of the mine. You then need to biuld a coal truck. When plaing depo's it will tell you what it supplys and demands at the bottom.
