Helicopter Problem; Flying in Circles
So I was checking my services around town and I came across my helicopter... which was just spinning around in circles. I have two city heliports that it stops at, and they are relatively close together, and it is the only helicopter on the map. I have tried skipping way points, deleting way points, stopping the aircraft, and well yeah...

Is there some kind of mod or config file that would let me get rid of the helo?

If you just want to get rid of it, delete one of its helipads and tell it to stop. It should land at the other one and not take off again.
If that doesn't work, then try making a helipad at the very edge of the map and deleting the other two, then telling the helicopter to land there and stop. (It doesn't necessarily have to be at the edge, but I would do that because you'll get it far away from whatever bug is causing it.)

Ok I tried to do both of those, but it wouldn't let me delete one of the heliports, so I still had one on the map, and the helicopter just kept on flying in circles.

Why wouldn't it let you delete it? Did it tell you "an aircraft is attempting to land here" or something similar?
If that's the case, just delete one of them (whichever one the game lets you) and make another one far away. Add a new stop for the helicopter's route at the new far-away heliport. If it never lands, go back to the route tab and hit the green arrow which should tell it to go to the next station instead.

Yes I did all that, it told me that it couldn't delete the station because "it is currently in use by at least one vehicle" I'll take a video of it to show you what I'm doing and what the helo is doing and hopefully it'll be view-able by tomorrow.

Actually, the video won't happen, because my computer doesn't like to run fraps and locomotion, but I did do everything you said.

Is it broken down? If a tail rotor breaks on a helicopter , the helicopter does spin!
So maybe this is intended for realism?
If its a glitch, it well eventually run out of fuel and crash

Well I appreciate your attempt at trying to help me, Awesometrains, but it seems to me that you don't know how the game works, and just to make sure, the helicopter is flying in circles, not spinning I realized I should have named it 'flying in circles' instead of 'spinning' but the forum won't let me change it.

Ignore him... He can be a bit random at times...
There is theoretically no solution to this, at all. It is a longstanding glitch to the game. The same happens with too many aeroplanes at an airport. Once a plane/helicopter is "committed" or is approaching an airport you cannot stop it from landing or until the airport has a free space.

you've gotta place a helipad , it the last category of airports in the list (small , medium , large , heli)

No vehicles in this game run out of fuel, I have had vehicles of all types for at least 14 in game years (that helicopter for 30 something) and the only stopping they do is when they break down, but of course aircraft just fly to wherever they need to stop at and make repairs (except for that cursed helicopter).

Thank you Mr. Ghost, and in response to Mr. Trains, I tried deleting the heliports, but as I have told you, it won't let me. I'm going to figure something else out or just deal with it.

Yepp, tearing of the heliport is not a solution. That's nonsense.
For me it worked that I stoped the helicopter, had stored the Score and reloaded. Suddenly he has landed. But I do not know if that is always so.
