CLW Mods Not Working
Evening, everyone.
I just installed the Chicago Locomotive Works AutoMod and Enhanced Paper Cycle mods. However, the rolling stock and industries show up, but the rolling stock needed for the automotive cycle does not show any vailble loads. For example, the autoracks don't show Automobiles as an acceptable product. Why is this?
Regards,

Not to sound impatient, but any ideas? I should also mention the trains work fine on my other PC.

Re: CLW Mods Not Working
The computer I have Locomotion installed on died so this is just a guess.
It sounds like you are missing the cargo dat files.
Check the working computer. It should have files like auto.dat (or something close). I'd sort the directory alphabetically, and then look for things that look like they'd be associated with those vehicle types. Then check to see if those files are on the non-working computer.
If they are, so much for this idea. If they aren't, copy them to it.
Good luck.

Re: CLW Mods Not Working
I've copied the .dat files manually with no luck.
However, i just loaded up the game and the autoracks and scrap gondolas now load scrap and automobiles, but the auto parts boxcars do not load auto parts. I will look into this later.
You see, i'm copying a whole ton of files from a hard drive, and Locomotion will randomly start up with the screen staying black. You can hear the sound and clicking the Exit Game button will exit the game. Afterwards, i have to manually shut down my PC, as the screen stays black indefinitely, so i try to wait until i can shut everything down, then I play Locomotion.
I'll check back later with an update when my files are done copying.
Regards,
Chris

Re: CLW Mods Not Working
Okay. I copied the automotive cargo (plastic pellets, scrap, auto parts, automobiles) .dat files into the ObjData folder manually, and now the rolling stock doesn't work at all. I even re-copied the rolling stock .dat files again to be safe, and they still don't work.
Maybe later they'll mystically work again.

Hi Chris......try here http://www.locomotiondepot.net/amitrains/chicago.
I suggest you download and install everything. That way you'll always have the CLW at hand. (follow the prompts to the letter) When you are not using the CLW, give the Objdat folder a new name....eg. Objdat_CLW , then you can store it somewhere on your HD. After copying the folder across to your Lomo folder for immediate use, don't forget to rename Objdat_CLW to Objdat.dat
Just a tip......try the search function next time. All will be revealed .
Good luck.

Re: CLW Mods Not Working
Nope, no dice.
EDIT: And now, the automobiles and scrap can be loaded into their respective cars, but the auto parts won't. WHY???
