Only ONE station possible...
Hi!
Just asking how I can get more than a few stations in locomotion...
When I create New landscapes, I choose 5-6 different stations, but I only get one or two when I
try to run the game. Any suggestions?

Re: Only ONE station possible...
This sounds to me like a TRACKST.DAT problem.
Check out how to add items to TRACKST -> http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=49092
and EDS's "The problem with bridges" -> http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=49943
I think the reason he couldn't use those bridges is the same reason you can't use your stations.
Basically, make sure you haven't prevented yourself from using those stations.
But, I'm just guessing.

Sounds like a trackst.dat problem to me also.
Editing the trackst.dat file is pretty easy, Jonaskorp. As long as you make a backup, you can't really mess anything up.

Ok!
Now I've tried to download the dekosoft_up_1.06 pack, but when I try to
run some of the *.dat files in locotool, I just get a Message that says:
"Trackstatinv.dat is not a *.dat file".... Any solutions?

Re: Only ONE station possible...
TRSTAINV.dat is the station itself (invisible station to be precise). Those files from the Provo set are protected so that they can't be edited.
Don't worry about that, though. The only file you need to worry about is trackst.dat, the file for the track itself.

Re: Only ONE station possible...
How can I know wich stations in trackstat.dat I should choose when I want the village, invisible, city, and dummy platform?

Jonas:
Get a copy of the save game editor, Locomod_02.exe. When you run it, it generates an index of all the dat files in your objdata folder. The index is an xml file that can be opened and edited. That's the best way I know of the find out what each of the dat files actually is.
If you edit it, you can use find/search. I searched on "invisible" and found this:
<file name="TRSTAINV" class="15" description="Invisible Station" />
That tells me that TRSTAINV is the dat file for the invisible station. If you want to use that station, then your trackst.dat file needs to contain this line:
<useobject desc="station[0]" class="15">TRSTAINV</useobject>
Station[0] is the first station. Station[1] is the second station, etc.

Like Glenjimen said...Check my topic on "Problem with Bridges"...It has a detailed tutorial on how to make use of the maximum amount of bridges and stations in the TRACKST.DAT and roadfiles as well. It's a lot of text but worth reading !Jonaskorp wrote:How can I know wich stations in trackstat.dat I should choose when I want the village, invisible, city, and dummy platform?
Good luck !

The invisible station, TRSTAINV.dat, is in the Dekosoft pack you downloaded. The rest of the stations you listed are from digidampfman's station kits, if I'm not mistaken. (Could also be in RobinH's Kombipack.)Jonaskorp wrote:How can I know wich stations in trackstat.dat I should choose when I want the village, invisible, city, and dummy platform?
If you didn't keep the original folder for digidampfman's kit, download it again and download this tool to see which of the stations is which. Make sure you put the tool in the same folder as Locotool.
Also, make sure you read the directions in there. Digidampfman added the passenger station baseplate and goods station baseplate (PFUND.dat and GFUND.dat) for the station parts that don't go directly on the track.

digidampfman's dat file viewer is a dead link.

Re: Only ONE station possible...
Thanks for the up-to-date link, Walter. I didn't have this program. Now that I've tried it, it's very useful.
Re: Only ONE station possible...
I know. I wasn't able to find the tool after searching. Thanks though; I'll use that link often I'm sure.Walter1940 wrote:Zakos, this is the Link to the forum
