TTO Full Conversion v1.4.1

Post by Gurluas2000 » 27 Apr 2008 14:17

I have reposted it here since this mostly supports Openttd, even if some of the files are unfortunally TTDP only.
I am looking for people interested in playing a 1900 20xx game with the TTO set.

Made by Jezulkim

An old picture is included in the pack, but it still shows the general features.
features:
TTO terrain set
TTO monorail
TTO bridge for the monorail
TTO houses
TTO iron mine
TTO title screen for ttd and openttd (openttd titlescreen seems to be damaged)
TTO signals
TTO vehicles (including new 1900 vehicles and the 1830 rocket)
TTO icons

optional mars graphic for toyland.
experimental tto start music

ps. please post your thoughts about this.

Edit:Updated to 1.4.1

Long time no update. But now a final (?) update.

What's changed in this version?

* Version 1.4.1 *
-Fixed & balanced the 'olds.grf'
-Few bugfixes in fttoc.grf

* Version 1.4 *
Added the Rocket, making you start in 1830!
Thanks to Raven for the vehicle, and Shabby for finding it.

* Version 1.3 *

Changes:
- TTO toolbar icons
- TTO bulldozer icon and cursor
- Few names fixed
- New grf file in TTO set folder (olds.grf) (Vehicles allowing you to start in the year 1900)

Older changes:
-TTO original names, small fixes to the Monorail
-Now you need only one file for TTO experience. Well, you'll still need the music, but that's optional
-TTO farms. GRF without them also included
-Bugfixes road crossing light didn't work, and some others I can't remember
-TTO Snow tiles. Arctic/TTO hybrid
-Futuristic ships. Did not exist in TTO, taken from world editor
-Added GRFs made by Wile E. Coyote. Just ask me to remove the file if you don't like your GRF included
-Monorails look better (only few pixels added)
-More TTO monorail. Now you can see it in desert and arctic
-TTO/TTD maglev
-And more, I can't remember all
-TTO Alpha Station
-TTO Bridge Icon

Thanks, i've put A LOT of work in it along with Jezulkim.
Its a shame we have not recieved much support, there could be two reasons:

1. its perfect, thus aint needing any fixes or new features
2. nobody cares about tto.

Actually i wanted to add a baloon as a 1900 flying vehicle, and a sail ship... But i dont have a graphic designer.

But what does TTO mean? You put in a load of details about the contents of the pack, but not a description of what the pack is. Always assume that there are people reading who are either not completely involved with the TT community (thus not knowing every last abbreviation) or people completely new to the game. Always have an introductory sentence. Always.

Transport Tycoon Original. Before Transport Tycoon Deluxe, there was just Transport Tycoon. That version has different graphics than the ones used by TTDP and OTTD. The TTO full conversion 'restores', if you wish, those original graphics. In order not to be mistaken between the two versions of TT, it's called TTO.

I wonder, isn't this copyrighted material? Are you allowed to distribute these files?

Yes we have been allowed, also this thread lies in the TTDpatch graphics too and has been there for ages.

There is no need for crossposting in OTTD Graphics, every "smart" OpenTTD user should also take a look at TTDPatch Graphics section. ;-)

(Maybe there are also reasons for TTDP players to visit that section sometimes?)

355 Downloads.. (Make that 356, as I'm going to as well :P) Define "gets ignored"

EDIT After playtesting: Awesome! I really like the old school look of how it was when I was a little kid :)

I wonder if it's useful to ask for feedback without new input...
