How to compile lang files?

I need to compile a lang file on my PC. The only tutorial I found is this one: https://github.com/OpenTTD/OpenTTD/blob ... g_files.md by andythenorth, but this guide is already 11 years old, so I don't know if nothing has changed since then.
Even if the information is up to date, the link to download 'strgen' does not work.
Can someone give me a currently working method / link?

If you're trying to update translation of OpenTTD, you can request access to become a translator via GitHub (you need an account for this), just click here here, this is the most convenient way. Click get started and post the issue. And don't forget to look https://translator.openttd.org/ first.

I am already a translator, I would like to try the translation on my computer without entering it into the official game version.

strgen is not available as a separate download anymore, but you can still use it if you compile the game from source code.
You might not exactly be interested in Ferion, but if you are, have fun :)
