Can somebody install some patches with Open TTD 1.6.1

I am not surprised, to be honest.
Today is almost 2017, while the large map patch was last updated in 2012 (5 years ago), and the town distance patch was last updated in 2007, almost 10 years ago.

Merging of a patch with the game source code only works without problems around the time it was created. That means, you could easily merge the map patch with the source code of 5 years ago (to be precise, with r20829), or the town-distance with the source code of the game that existed 10 years ago.

The bigger the gap in time, the harder it becomes. For patches of this age, it is probably simpler to re-implement the patches again, than it is to try updating the patches.


Note that in any case, the patched game is not 1.6.1 any more, since it was patched. You cannot play with it at a 1.6.1 server.
