Editor tools: more powerful terraforming tools

Post by Wolf01 »

I made this patch which adds more tools to the terraforming toolbar in scenario editor.

More ideas can be found in this topic

The posted patch features the following:
  1. New method of terraforming by "painting" on the map, works like the level land tool but you can define a brush size like the old raise/lower tools
  2. Smooth brushes for raising and lowering land, resizable like the old counterparts, instead of making a leveled platform of land they will raise tiles one at time, so you can raise a slope and (almost) keeping the same inclination, it's a bit too fast in the current version, I'm trying to figure out how to make it more controllable; also keeping the left mouse button pressed you continuously raise/lower land on the same spot allowing to make mountains in no time
  3. Trim mountains to a height level, works like the level area tool, allows to cut away all the levels above the starting height (the tile where you started dragging the area) without touching the tiles below that level, CTRL will make the area diagonal
  4. Fill valleys to a height level, works like the level area tool, allows to fill a valley up to the level of the starting tile without touching the mountains over it, CTRL will make the area diagonal
There are some imperfections which need to be addressed, and more tools will come with time
