Then the easiest thing is to not play with other people or AIs that are intent on behaving badly. This patch is for people who want to play cooperatively, not competitively. If you have trust issues with other players, this patch isn't for you.

By the way, if my train is running on AI owned railway, while that, the AI bankrupted.
The train will be crushed? Or be sold?

No, the rails remained and are unowned. Your trains will roll on.

I am really sorry for my rude post.

I'm still new to OTTD and lacking of experience...

I didn't think you were being rude at all. No harm in asking questions! :)

No. The only "public" infrastructure that you can build are roads, water and canals.

So, it means that rails are still owned by companies, but they allow the another companies vehicle run on it?

OpenTTD is a peaceful game.
We should compete in peaceful ways, not to attack the other companies.

Uuuuhh...How to download the patch, and include it into the game ? Is it possible to applicate it to a current game ? :D

You could compile it into OpenTTD yourself. Or you could download the precompiled (and in my opinion, rather brilliant) JGR's patch pack. Games that are played on the base version of the game can be moved over to JGR's patch pack, but they cannot go the other way.

And still, how do i compile it into OpenTTD and move my current games to the patch ? Is there a file for that ?

I wouldn't compile. I'd get a pre-complied version. Once you have your patched game running, you can load your old games like you normally would.

The wiki has several pages of explanation about patches and compiling.
How up-to-date it is, I have no idea, I never read those pages.

Your best bet is to
a) pick the source revision that matches with the patch (else stuff may get complicated), Most likely that means not use a release version.
b) first compile that source without patch, to verify the compiler setup
c) compile the source with the patch applied
d) ???
e) profit!! (and done)

I have been unsuccesfull so far in getting this to start.

What version of openTTD do I need to get IS 2.1.1 working?
Or is there a newer verion or another simular IS mod?

The last official release was nearly 8 years ago, it was patched against r20009. There is probably a newer version that has been posted by somebody other than Hirundo, you'll have to dig through the post here to find them and check which version it was updated against. One thing to keep in mind is that because it's not being officially maintained by one developer or group of developers collectively, individuals who have offered their own versions have made changes which are not synchronized. Its possible that any one particular version of this patch behaves differently than others.

Patch Pack authors, on the other hand, assume a good chunk of responsibility when they incorporate a community patch like this one. In this case, IMO the user JGR has the most and most significant experience with keeping this patch updated in his pack. You can either download the precompiled JGR Patch Pack and not worry about it, or you can contact him and discuss obtaining a copy of his changes, which will be updated against a much more recent OpenTTD trunk version.

It's in the game settings menu. You may need to change the filter to "Expert" to see them.
