Well, obviously. I see it as a level well lost.
Of course, if you spend time adapting the More Height Levels patch to work with this one, you gain far more levels, thus solving the single lost level.

yer but thats not been updated in ages but thats nothing to do with this patch

Maybe not.
It's one level. What's the big problem with it? if it was seven, then maybe, but it's one level.
And I imagine when more work on the patch is done, you'll be able to configure how many levels, or at least turn the patch on or off, so you won't have to worry about it by then.

Thanks for the URL! :S But if you refer to his chunnel patch, this is completely unlike it. It's a totally different (less hacky IMO) approach to allow a similar thing, yes. Although this has more potential, this allows for scenarios that have both patches of water that CANNOT be tunnelled under, and patches of water that CAN be tunneled under, for example.
