I was building a rail line in urban environement, and just realized you need to put bridges one tile up if there's a tunnel.
Instead of this, bridges could be built on tunnelheads - and thus almost hide the line under it, while still being able to place signals on the track.
If combined to a stations-on-bridges thingy, this would create great things.
I'd like to make a patch of this, but my main question is how will it work with NewGRF bridge sets ?

Re: Bridges on tunnelheads
Do you mean something similar to enhanced tunnels, like TTDPatch has?
Not sure if this patch was ever written for OpenTTD...
Alternately, you could hide the tunnel portals by using a subway or urban railtype (found in metro tracks or japanese tracks) which makes it look like a plain pavement tile.

No, i mean bridges parralel to the tunnel direction that can start on tunnelheads.

I think I get what you mean, I'll edit this in a minute to get a mock-up. I'm not sure how well it'd work.
