terraform dragging
this is in the ttdpatch suggestions, but I think it should be here too, since ottd can actually do it =]

basically the idea is that you have 1 tool for terraforming, and can drag up or down to raise / lift

I hate the RCT terraforming tool.
But maybe a 'levelling' tool might help
You draq a certain field and everything in that field is leveled to the same height (the height you started dragging on)

I'd try it if I knew how to compile the damn thing...
I've got DevCPP... Prolly not SDL and stuff though...
BUT I already asked about 'how do I compile this thing?!' somewhere before (got no response though )

I downloaded r621(EDIT: on SVN) less than an hour ago. I can't find any diffrent when I press CTRL(Left) + Mouse_Left, I also tried to drag an area, but failed. I use Linux.Pakorrito wrote:SVN version have a terrain levelling tool. CTRL + Click on raise land (for now only on train build toolbar).GoneWacko wrote:I hate the RCT terraforming tool.

* Open up the rail toolbar
* hold ctrl
* click "raise land"
* release ctrl
* now you can level land with drag and drop.
Works in (Mandrake) Linux here, even though I still developed in WinXP when I implemented this feature. We still couldn't decide where to put a "level land" button.

Maybe in a new small toolbar with lower and higher land, and dynamite...dominik81 wrote:We still couldn't decide where to put a "level land" button.
thoses are not related to rail/road and could be removed from these toolbar.
Or... for high screen resolutions, in the main toolbar ?
It's just an idea..
