I don't know if it actually is in the gamy, because i've never see it happening, but what about adding share earnings? If you buy stocks from other companies, you should earn money from it and that's, as i think, not happening in the game. If it is, i'm sorry, but as i've written it before, i've never seen any share earnings from stocks.

This is indeed not happening in OpenTTD, but is also happening with real shares on a very limited scale. For real-life shares, you mainly get the profit the moment you sell them, which is the same as in OpenTTD, but you can get some dividend sometimes, but on the OpenTTD money scales they would not really add much. If you can buy shares in OpenTTD, you;re probably making so much money that some additional profit will not be noted.
