Reworked industries

Post by SirkoZ »

It would be very nice if every TTDPatch feature, including "impossible" ones and a reworked industry production increasing/decreasing code.
Production values (multipliers) would be just like in TTOrig and if many players/competitors have trains around single mine/factory it would increase production, as it is better for it.
Passengers/workers would have to be transported to and from industries (out of towns) apart from just raw materials and if there was many workers/raw materials available, production would double...
Current code is quite confusing. :)

That would make the game much easier to play and is IMHO not a good idea.

Some things regarding industries should be optimized, thats right. But increasing production on demand is not a good idea IMHO.

It wouldn't make them so much easier as it would make them more realistic...

Not really. To increase production in real life, you have to expand somehow. TT indutries can' t grow in size, don' t they?

Well, they could - the graphics for them are modular anyhow, so with the BIG maps coming our way, there just might be a switch for it.
