Is it possible to refit only EMPTY cars?

Post by srschacher »

When going to a depot to refit, is it possible to only refit the empty cars to the desired cargo?

Currently, if I have a car full of petroleum fuels and want to stop along the way to pick up some alcohol (since the destination accepts both), when I refit to alcohol the tanker car with the fuels is emptied.

It would be nice to have a train with all tanker cars that can have only the empty cars refitted along the way. This would apply to boxcars, etc., too.

Has this been requested before?

Thanks,
Steve

there is a "refit at stations" feature, but it has to be supported by the NewGRF providing the vehicles. this will only refit empty cars, and depending how the NewGRF is coded, may restrict the refitting (e.g. to prevent putting milk into an oil tanker, without proper cleaning)
