Game Options stuck on ??

Hi all,

Been playing OpenTTD for well over a year now with zero issues etc

Last night was playing it, all of a sudden, the game options (grey box options) suddenly popped up.

Naturally went to press “X” to close but is absolutely refusing to close, and I can’t even move said window to the side and carry on either.

I uninstalled it and then re-installed it via the website but hasn’t made any difference.

I tried doing a search but wasn’t coming up trumps at all.

So wondered if anyone has encountered this issue before please and if they know how to rectify please?

That sounds extremely weird, and should not be possible.
As far as I remember, there is a default hotkey on F2 or F3 that opens the Game Options window, when in-game. If a key on your keyboard has become stuck that could explain it.

Does the options window open even on the main menu screen, or only after starting/loading/joining a game?

Can you see if the window border seems to be flashing, or if it's a constant colour?

Hello,

I’ll check my keyboard just incase there is a iffy key.

Failing that I’ll take a snapshot of what’s going on.

On main title screen nothing is amiss, it appears within minutes, whether it is a previous saved file, or I start a new game.

Shall get on it ASAP

Right, time to possibly be VERY embarrest

Checked keyboard (pushed all buttons) and took batteries out to "reset"

Played a new game for approx 10 minutes and seems fine.......

Feel abit of an idiot if this was all it was, but glad it was something simple!
