Port Forwarding help pls

I got a dedicated server to work yesterday. My friend could join and we played for a bit. I come back next day, forward the port and it doesn't work.
I have tried everything (that I could find) and have had no results. I'm able to assign my PC a static IP but when I try to port forward to the IP, I check canyouseeme.org and it says connection timed out.
My subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 and my default gateway is my router's IP. I'm also using google's DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4)

EDIT** Apparently everything was correct and canyouseeme.org was being dumb
