I was flying round the map, as ye do, and discovered that one of my ships was 'lost' (nice messages btw). So I went to investigate, and found that my ship was stuck going backwards and forwards, because some stupid rival had built a bridge over my canal, lengthway.
ship was stuck on the second corner from the dock, as they can't go along the bridge under it
this picture is to (hopefully) show what I mean.
Sorry that it is
1) bad quality (due to me only being able to use MSPaint atm)
2) Badly drawn (er...I'll blame paint for this also )

used url as it didn't seem to want to show up in the preview as img
just another thought, it wasn't this that crashed it, it crashed after I tried to delete the canal from under the bridge after re-routing it
if it says 'forbidden' click the titlebar in the address bar and hit return,
someone seems to have disabled hotlinking should show up - gawd a lot of things seem to be breaking today
Canal error - game crash

Well...
I reproduced the error with my own bridge (see screenshot). Looks like a bug.

this problem also exists in ttdpatch (and normal ttd, for that matter) and has to do with the fact that ships can only go under bridges one way...
this isn't easy to fix. to avoid the cpu building those bridges, just buy the land next to the corners.
