No music on Linux

Post by te_lanus »

HI

Got this question on discord, and had a look, and seems the music doesn't play using 1.6.1 and tried it with 1.5.3

I've set everything up correctly and have no music when you go to the music player. In the music player you have all the music names scroll by very fast.

I'm on Ubuntu Mate 16.04.1 64bit

You probably don't have any midi driver, such as timidity++, installed on the system.
I just did
sudo apt install timidity-daemon pmidi fluid-soundfont-gm fluid-soundfont-gs
and music plays just fine.
