Signals, how to.

Post by bombastico »

Hi!
I'm playing after a long time and I can't find the right combination of signals. Could you help me?
In my mind the signal in the blue circle should be red until the upper train decides which track to take.
In the combination you see in the picture sometime two train take the same track generating jam.

Thx!

Replace the entry signals with path signals facing the incoming traffic.
Replace th exit signals with path-signals facing the platforms.
By using path signals, the trains will reserve the path as soon as they pass the out-ward facing signals, preventing other trains from attempting to use the same platform.

Bi-directional stations like this must have path signals, otherwise they are prone to deadlocks. Illustrating what Sylf described:

A wonderfully clear illustration. Something like that ought to go on the Wiki.
