Path signals not working

What am I doing wrong here? The last signal before the station is a path signal, but the next train will not enter until after the other train leaves the station so only one of two platforms is ever used.

Put two signals at the exit of the platform. You can alter the station to put a platform back on the empty track in front of the entry to make room for those signals.
